Is There a Recovery Period After Laser Dental Treatment?

In some cases, your gums may be swollen and sore. In these cases, we suggest you follow a liquid- or soft-food diet for a few days until the swelling and soreness go down. If you had a gum treatment, it's likely we'll schedule a follow-up appointment to check on your healing and determine if additional treatment is needed. The good news is that dental laser therapy causes a lot less trauma to the mouth than standard treatments, so your recovery period should be minimal, and you should be able to get back to your normal activities shortly after your appointment.
