"I really like this office, I'm glad I started coming here because of the location and staff is awesome. The doctor was very patient and thorough, she explained the procedure I have to have done in detail and I like that she didn't rush the visit. The front desk girls are great, very kind and welcoming. The office is nice and clean, very pleasant environment. I like that they don't overbook like many other offices do. I had to wait maybe 10 min until I was called to be seen. Overall I had a great experience so far. I recommend this dental office to all."

"After Juda, the technician took X-rays of my teeth, I knew I wanted to write a review. She was so kind to me. I warned her that I gag a lot when I get X-rays, she reassured me that it's very common and I shouldn't worry. She was very personable and we shared our tattoo stories with each other. Our conversation really distracted me. Dr. Shah, the dentist's exam was very good. She was very attentive, listened and addressed all of my teeth concerns and assured me that I will get all of the necessary work I need. She has a peaceful demeanor which I need because I'm quite nervous at the dentist. Ruzana, the hygienist was very nice and very thorough. She complimented me that I brush my teeth well. I haven't gotten a great cleaning like she gave me in a very long time! Finally, Yvonne, who worked at front desk was very efficient. She's the first face you see when you walk into the bright and clean office and she greeted my son and I pleasantly and professional. I was grateful that my friend referred me to this great dental office!"

I felt she was sincere and have since updated my review. I hope they continue to work on their patient care / Customer service as they are a vital health care facility in the community. Updated 1/30/2023 - Not sure what’s happened at East Village Dental however I think it’s a change in the management team that handles customer service. While they have updated the way they conduct business when you call they rarely pick up the phone, they do not return calls, they don’t have an emergency line for concerns post surgery. After an uncovering I developed canker sores and called them for a follow up they told me they’d call me back and instead I went the entire weekend in pain (see attached photo at your discretion). I did use warm water and salt to soothe the area but maybe they could have prescribed something to alleviate the pain which led to several days of headaches. There was little concern about my pain/discomfort which I’m very surprised from a place that I really liked and highly recommended just 1-2 years ago. After my crowns are in place I’m not sure I’ll go to them for a cleaning letting alone any serious oral surgery. Until they get a team that’s actually concerned about the customer/Patient stay away from EVD."

"This dental office is awesome 👌 I've been going to this location for the past few years, and I love them. Dr.Shah has taken very good care of me during each of my visits. She's very knowledgeable, and lets you know what is going on with your teeth every step of the way. She also has a wonderful, and beautiful assistant Gisela, who helps her with all of their patient's. Both of them together make a great team. I always hated going to the dentist, and I'm sure many of you can relate, but now I love it. I actually look forward to going because of how comfortable they make me feel. The ladies at the front desk are both amazing, and friendly. They know the true meaning of great customer service. So if you want a beautiful smile and don't have to go through horrible pain to get it, book your appointment with Dr. Shah, she is the absolute best 💖. You will find yourself wanting to go back with the ease of knowing that she does such a great job. Dr. Shah, you are my hero ."

"A wonderful practice! Both in their care and bedside manner, East Village Dental Center delivers ideal experiences. They’ve been serving my family and the community at large for many years. The receptionists are so nice and welcoming. The hygienist hooked me up with a painless cleaning and the doc was lovely. One can witness how imperative the reception desk being bilingual is here and how courtesy, a smile, cleanliness and quality care are so important to the diverse demographic that surrounds this gem. It’s walking distance for me, but I’d travel here if it wasn’t! Bravo!"

Vanessa and Christine are funny , sweet, honest and understanding ! They took my concerns and budget seriously. Never met receptionists that are compassionate until these two! They squeezed me last minute ( literally) in and the dentist whose name was Amish was so informative and explained my crown procedure. Thank you all!! See you soon !! "I need to see the Dr"
"Today, only one receptionist was at the front. dental assistant signed in, then she asked to fill out the form from previous time, then the front desk said " hey :) you’ve already done this....." i figured if you make an appointment around noon, everyone goes out for lunch.So, one person can’t handle herself. Inside is very clean, water is provided for every patients. At the entrance, there a slope. Once they know you, they’re friendly, I believe. Waiting area has a TV and they’re shopping very Negative documentary show, I think they’ll have to change that... It’s very Loud and can’t even relax before you’re called. There’s a super Marcket one block from there. M9 bus is running every 10min."

"Avenue C dentist is a great place, but I feel that when your personal dentist is planning to leave the patient should be informed, it's a much easier transition to have your dentist introduce you to the new one or at least give you a recommendation to a new dentist!! I'm a person who is afraid of going to the dentist and as soon as I get accustomed to one he is gone and there goes the anxiety again!!"

Dentist saw me right away and the hygienist that cleaned my teeth was really helpful at pointing out things to help when brushing and flossing. "My first visit at East Village Dental Center was impressive- the receptionist was professional and patient in answering my concerns and questions.I was taken to area to have x-ray taken -everything looked clean and the rooms were lighten.The hygienists explained the procedure and reassured me -If I feel any pain all I had to do was raise my hand --I never raised my hand.MY FIRST WONDERFUL EXPRESS WITH A HYGIENIST.My teeth clean .She explained and instructed me how to properly clean and floss.DR Estrada explained everything in non-hurry way- He actually sat and talked with me regarding his dental plan.Dentists I have previously gone to are completing their sentence as they are walking out the room I only wish that I had gone here first and today I would have more teeth in my mouth.As Dr Easrada said "We are going to do our very best to keep what teeth you have.Thank you Magaly Gonzalez for recommending Dr Estrada."
"So many great things to say. The most important being the patience and kindness of the dental hygienist. It’s difficult to find someone who loves what they do and accepts Medicaid. The dental hygienist gave me a thorough clean. One of the best cleanings I’ve ever had. Being polite and honestly giving folks the care they need regardless of their insurance. It genuinely is such a breath of fresh air. Due to the pandemic and dentist not being open up until recently; I have multiple cavities that they’ll be filling. If you’re trying to find a great place for dental hygiene, this is IT! Thank you to the receptionist as well, who was polite and very accommodating and understanding. Thanks to everyone else as well! There was someone here who had great makeup whom name I forgot. All in all; Everyone here makes a great team and I do hope they keep up the great work!"

I had a really thorough teeth cleaning where I feel I was for the first time really walked through the correct way to brush and floss. I also had three fillings which they were able to fill in one visit. The front desk staff where really helpful in pricing and reminders."

"Best experience I had with a dentist. I had multiple issues because my previous dentist didn’t do the work in a timely manner. Dr. Shah seen me right away and assessed that my tooth has to come out because it was an old root canal that got infected. Dr. Kaufman squeezed me in that same day to evaluate and offered to extract same day. He explained everything in detail. He made sure I was as comfortable as possible and made me aware of the procedure step by step as he was doing it. So I knew what I was feeling and why. I didn’t feel a thing actually. The front desk staff was also very friendly and detailed when explaining the benefits and what would be covered by my insurance. She gave me options and ways to do the work affordably. I was excited just because of how well he took my call. I think his name is Christian. On Sept 1, I received a call stating if I can arrive at least 15 minutes before my 5:30 pm appointment for Sept 2. No problem, I can do that. Then I received multiple calls about coming in earlier, at 5:00 pm. It was pushing it, but will try. Then another call came in if I can come at 4:30 pm. That one was difficult. At this point I was thinking, I work and prefer the earliest before 9 am, during my lunch or latest after 5 pm appointment available. Did staff assume I do nothing during the day. Nevertheless, I arrived just a couple of minutes before 5 pm on Sept 2, 2020. Front desk didn't acknowledge my presence because they were busy talking. For a moment I did not feel welcomed. I was thinking and asked myself, should I get the consultation (since I am here) and call the other providers for treatment or just leave. Moments upon check in, a technician came to escort me for X-Rays. The Female staff was very dry and sour in her tone. I didn't expect bubbly but I wanted some type of, "I like my job" attitude. She took me to consult with Dr. Kaufman where he confirmed what my Dentist had stated based on the X-Rays I already provided. Nothing was set on stone, just possibilities of my treatment. No gimmicks. I felt that I made a good choice with him. He was noted to be one of the best so I went for it. Upon conclusion, one of the receptionist was providing a two weeks later appointment. I thought, this wasn't going to work out for me. I almost was going to take the appointment just to cancel it after getting an appointment with one of the other providers. Dr. Kaufman immediately intervene (as if reading my thoughts) and took a look at the schedule with her and was able to provide a date and time within a week. This was great. I can come during my lunch hour and not loose too much time from work. Dr. Kaufman's professionalism made up for the unforeseen disappointments towards the very end."

My dentist had switched practices and unfortunately her prior practice refused to allow her access to her patient charts to inform us that she was leaving. I did my research and found Dr. Suri at this practice. I called and made an appointment with the man at the front desk. He was exceptional and instantly made me feel welcome. When I walked in the next day for my appointment, I was greeted by Dr. Suri with a huge hug. My appointment was for 10 am but I was brought in at 9:30 since I was early and they had an opening. I ended up needing an emergency extraction and Dr. Kauffman explained everything to me and made me feel comfortable and safe. Despite this practice being over an hour from my house, I will be a loyal patient due to their positive attitudes and overall demeanor. I have terrible dental anxiety but they're able to work with it and ease it."
