If one or a few of your teeth have fallen out, it is more than just a cosmetic problem — gaps in the teeth may cause other teeth to shift. Over time, this can lead to extra tension in your bite, increased pain when chewing, or even difficulty speaking. A dental bridge improves the health and appearance of your mouth by filling in spaces with a false tooth supported by either crowns, dental implants, or a combination of both. At East Village Dental Center in New York, NY our skilled dental team offers custom-made bridges to help restore your beautiful smile. If you have missing teeth, schedule a consultation with one of our dental doctors to get more information about your restoration options with a custom bridge.
Should I Get a Dental Bridge?
People with missing teeth don't merely have an appearance problem — spaces in your teeth may heavily impact the health of your mouth. The fact is: your mouth is carefully balanced, and a gap may affect its function. In time, a missing tooth can lead to the shifting of teeth, causing problems with your bite (underbite, crossbite, overbite), gums, or jawbone. A dental bridge requires the surrounding teeth to be strong enough to support the restoration, including sufficient density in the jawbone and gums. We will examine your gums and jaw at your consultation to help you decide if a bridge is right for you. If it is, then we can help you decide the best bridge type (traditional, cantilever, resin bonded, or Maryland bonded) and material (porcelain, ceramic, porcelain fused to metal, or metal).
East Village Dental Center Reviews
I recently visited this dental clinic, and I was very impressed. The clinic was extremely clean, and the staff provided quick and highly effective service. They used advanced techniques, and I felt very comfortable throughout my visit. They offer a complete range of services for all my dental hygiene needs. Highly recommend!!
I had my teeth cleaned this morning by Ruzana (Hygienist). She truly did her thing with cleaning my teeth so thoroughly, and I must say painless as well 😅. Sitting in that chair had me feeling like I was getting a massage on my gums lol. You have to be really good to make your patients feel that comfortable. Robertssy, who is her assistant, is absolutely amazing also 😍. She took my ex ray's and before you know it she was done ✔️ 😄. I truly believe that these ladies are a gift from God. They make you want to come back after the wonderful experience at this location. Ruzana and Robertssy, you both deserve more than 5 🌟 🤩. Thank you for a great job 👏 👍 ❤️.
I have notice my teeth coming down more than ever.. however she has suggested for me to keep my teeth and suggested other alternatives.. that I am pleased 😀 with..
I really like this office, I'm glad I started coming here because of the location and staff is awesome. The doctor was very patient and thorough, she explained the procedure I have to have done in detail and I like that she didn't rush the visit. The front desk girls are great, very kind and welcoming. The office is nice and clean, very pleasant environment. I like that they don't overbook like many other offices do. I had to wait maybe 10 min until I was called to be seen. Overall I had a great experience so far. I recommend this dental office to all.
Great every one was helpful an they explain every thing to me. Before doing any thing

How is a Dental Bridge Placed?
Once your teeth are prepped and filed down, we will take digital x-rays and impressions of your teeth so your custom bridge can be created. If needed, a temporary bridge may be used while your custom one is crafted. Once your restoration is ready, the needed areas of your mouth will be prepped with a numbing agent and your dental bridge will either be cemented in place or attached to dental implants, depending on the method you chose during your consult. We will adjust the position of the bridge so it feels right in your mouth and remains in place.
What Can I Expect Following My Dental Bridge Placement?
Once your bridge is in place, you should notice an improvement in the appearance and function of your teeth. You may need a follow-up appointment at our New York City office to adjust your dental bridge's fit if it seems loose or uncomfortable after it is placed. Someone from our dental team will show you how to care for your bridge, including the best way to clean it and if you need to avoid any foods. It is crucial to keep your bridge and mouth clean since decay can develop underneath the restoration. If you properly care for it, your custom bridge may stay in place for several years. You need to continue to attend annual dental exams and cleanings twice a year. At these appointments, we can check the health and wear of your dental bridge to decide if it should be repaired or replaced.
